This one is actually from May 31st. So, Torv was 8 days old. I had to include it because of the cow. I went to pick him up from a nap and found a toy cow tucked in with him. His brothers and sister love him so much, I'm sure one of them tucked the cow in.
I love the contrast of this picture. Lana is getting so big and Torv was so little.
Right at the end of the month we had some excitement out here. Branson's Mom was leaving to take the kids to spend two nights with her. As they were going out to the truck we noticed it was really smoky outside. We found out there was a wild fire on our mountain.
We didn't worry too much. That night on the news said the fire was mostly contained. The next morning we found out that the wind had whipped it back up. They started evacuating homes in Saratoga Springs. I packed up our most important belongings as well as clothes for all of us and put them in the car just in case we got evacuated as well. Fortunately by the third day the fire was completely under control and about out.
This is the view from our front porch. The fire ran along the length of the mountain range but didn't come below that black line because of a fire road.
Watching the fire at night. It was pretty awe-some in a terrifying kind of way.
At about three weeks old Torv went to church with us for the first time. Here he is ready to go with Daddy. Such good lookin' boys.
Torv is an amazing little acrobatic wiggle worm. He rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time at two weeks old. We thought it was a fluke but he has done it consistently ever since then. Here is a video of one of the first times he rolled:
