More of our crazy life in June

This one is actually from May 31st.  So, Torv was 8 days old.  I had to include it because of the cow.  I went to pick him up from a nap and found a toy cow tucked in with him.  His brothers and sister love him so much, I'm sure one of them tucked the cow in.

I love the contrast of this picture.  Lana is getting so big and Torv was so little.

Right at the end of the month we had some excitement out here.  Branson's Mom was leaving to take the kids to spend two nights with her.  As they were going out to the truck we noticed it was really smoky outside.  We found out there was a wild fire on our mountain.

We didn't worry too much.  That night on the news said the fire was mostly contained.  The next morning we found out that the wind had whipped it back up.  They started evacuating homes in Saratoga Springs.  I packed up our most important belongings as well as clothes for all of us and put them in the car just in case we got evacuated as well.  Fortunately by the third day the fire was completely under control and about out.

This is the view from our front porch.  The fire ran along the length of the mountain range but didn't come below that black line because of a fire road.

Watching the fire at night.  It was pretty awe-some in a terrifying kind of way.

At about three weeks old Torv went to church with us for the first time.  Here he is ready to go with Daddy.  Such good lookin' boys.

Torv is an amazing little acrobatic wiggle worm.  He rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time at two weeks old.  We thought it was a fluke but he has done it consistently ever since then.  Here is a video of one of the first times he rolled:

Torv's Photoshoot - 2 weeks old

I am so lucky to have the super amazingly talented Olya as a good friend.  She came over and took some pictures of Torv when he was two weeks old.  I love them all!

This poor tie was entirely saturated with baby urine by the end of the shoot.

Any votes on which one to frame and hang on the living room wall?

Lana-ism

Earlier today I was talking to Lana and she informed that she has little boobies.  So tonight when Branson was with us I asked her about her boobies.  She said, "I don't have any!"  So true.

June Fun and Baby Boy

In June we mostly found ways to have fun playing at home and with our new baby.  Brecken especially loves to hang out with baby Torv.  It's sweet, he talks to him, sings, and kisses him.

Here is Torv after one of his first baths.

Nana was getting him dressed and Lana was helping.  I was lucky enough to have my mom come stay with us for two weeks!

More of Brecken and Torv hanging out.  Torv looks just like Brecky.  One day Brecken asked me to take a video of him holding Torv because he wanted Torv to see and know it.  He then told Torv how much he loves him.

Caden loves this little buddy too.

A fun pic of Lana and Brecken loving on Torv.

On the first day of school being out I let the kids do some watercolor painting on the fence.

Torv raising one eyebrow.

Caden painted his own museum complete with T-rex and a rainbow.

Torv "standing" on his skinny little legs.

We went to the parade at Pony Express Days.

Another afternoon we made our own Lava Lamps.

That was the first half of June!

Brecken's Moving Up

Brecken graduated from his second year of Joy School!
He is soo ready for Kindergarten this fall.
 Maren, Emma, Brooke, AJ, Brecken

We had a great year, such fun kids and awesome Mom teachers.

Daddy being a goof.  I think his head is a little too big for that hat.

We are so proud of our Brecken.  He is a smart little guy.  He has learned a lot this past year and mostly from his big brother Caden's homework.  He is an amazing reader and loves to read for fun.  He is also pretty good at addition and subtraction.  He loves to learn.

Boys Just Want to Have FUN!

I was so glad Branson could take the boys to do some fun things the first two weekends after Torv was born.  I was afraid they were getting awfully bored staying home, doing nothing every day.

The first weekend they went to the demolition derby here in Eagle Mountain.

It was Caden's best ever!  And Branson's too.  Brecken had fun for the first half.

The next weekend was the Father Sons' Camp-out.  This was all the boys' best ever!  They love camping.    The best dinner:  Hot dogs, chips, marsh-mellows, and peanut butter M&Ms.

The boys playing by the creek.  They had a great time.

While the boys were away, we went to the park.  Lana had fun on the swings.

Torv had fun sleeping.

After playing at the park we went home and watched Cinderella.  We had fun too.
