Spring Break Part II- Vegas Baby!

Branson had a conference in Vegas during spring break so we decided to tag along.  Luckily, we also convinced our good buddies the Bolinders to tag along as well! It was a quicky trip. Just a Thurs and Fri.  When we got to Vegas Thursday afternoon we dropped Branson off at his conference and decided to take the kids for a stroll down the strip.

We parked at the Bellagio and decided to take a tour.  It was beautiful, some really amazing gardens.

It had this amazing ceiling made out of glass.

After a fairly long hike we made it to the M&M Factory.  The kids liked it but wanted to buy everything.

The best part was the free 3D movie.

Then we picked up Branson and headed to the hotel, The Golden Nugget.  We hit the buffet, did a little swimming and then hit the sack!  They were tired (and me too).

This is how we found the boys in the morning.  Too cute!

We wanted to spend as much time as we could at the pool on Friday.  Lana got dressed in her swimsuit and then told me how much beautifuller she is in her swimsuit than me.

Lana and Brooke "swimming".

The cool part about this pool was that in the middle was a huge tank full of sharks!  There was even a waterslide that went down through the shark tank.  It was kind of freaky watching this diver cleaning the tank with sharks around him.

Brecken and Brooke trying to warm up.  It was a little breezy.

We didn't really want to hang out on the strip again.  So after we checked out we walked down Fremont Street. We opted to eat at Denny's and I think that was the most fun part of the trip.  We ate outdoors and the kids were perfect angels (I'm not even joking, it was amazing).

Then we found this toy store that was actually more fun on the outside than the inside.

After that it was about time to get Dad so we wandered around Caesar's Palace while waiting for his conference to end.   It was a strangely surreal experience because it was like a city inside of a building, complete with fake sky and everything.  This is inside the casino:

We had a fun time but decided two days was more than enough.  Vegas really is a dirty place, figuratively and literally.  Our shoes and hands were so black from walking down the strip and there was way too much nudity.  Months later the kids are still talking about the Golden Nugget.  We were glad to have a fun mini family vacation packed into our spring break!
