Lana's Actual 4 yr old Birthday

Lana's birthday was on a Sunday this year, so we had to do her big surprise the day before.  I was the lucky one that got to take her for her surprise.  We started with lunch at McDonald's.

Then I took her down to the Build A Bear workshop in the mall in Orem.  She had never heard of it before but thought it was about the greatest thing ever!!!  She picked out a rainbow dash my little pony.  Here she is filling it up with the stuffing.

And giving her a bath.

And all done with the pony in it's little house.  She picked out a rainbow tutu and ballet shoes for rainbow dash.

We really don't frequent malls very often.  Lana was intrigued by the whole concept.  In one of the dept. stores they were sweet and gave her a little facial with pink eyeshadow, a little blush, and some lip gloss.

Can you tell she was in love?

The next morning was supposed to start with the traditional breakfast in bed but she woke up a little early.  She decided however, to go back to bed for breakfast and presents.

Yummo, pancakes and ice cream.

Dad somehow ended up with her "pascal" on his shoulder while she was eating.

The boys eagerly watching her open her presents.

This silly little cutie was afraid of the candles for some reason.

The next weekend we spent a night at Grandma's house and they did another birthday breakfast for her.  Again, scared of the candles.

Lana is one incredible girl.  Not an ounce of shy in her.  She can be very girly with dressing up and painting nails and quite the tomboy with playing in the dirt, ripping the legs off barbies to use them as drumsticks, and beating her brothers up.  She is smart and kind and oh so aware of her darling charm.  We love our Lana Lou!
