El Dia de Amor

Valentine's is so much fun. I guess I was pretty gungho that day. I had breakfast set up all nice before I called in the troops. The menu consisted of heart shaped waffles and pink orange julius's.

Caden was pretty funny and totally posed himself like this.

This is the conversation we had at breakfast:

Mom" caden you should wear your red sweater today, you'd look so handsome "

Caden "yeah and spike my hair in the front"

Branson "you might get a girlfriend"

Caden "or all the girls, not just one"

Brans warned me that something was going to be delivered in the afternoon so I needed to be home. I was worried it was super expensive flowers from a floral shop. (I'm a total cheapo and that stressed me out a little). I lied down for a nap and then heard someone knock on the door. It was my favorite babysitter delivering these beautiful flowers and a mint truffle. I was so excited I couldn't take a nap anymore. I love my sweet hubby!

I made some heart shaped oreo balls for my buddy across the street (I felt bad because they don't celebrate valentine's and everyone needs a little love) and we might have had some too : )

There are some things you learn and then relearn again. Since Brans and I went out on a date the previous Friday I decided to make a nice romantic dinner for all of us at home. Oh wait, romance and three crazy children doesn't quite work out so well. I do remember a similar valentine's a few years back when I learned this. Next year: feed the kids freezer pizza and save the romantic dinner for after they go to bed.

We still managed to have a nice night, kinda funny actually. All in all it was a very love filled day!
