Ward Family Reunion 2011

The first week of August we got to go spend with my family in Oregon.
It was soo much fun. When it was time to go home the kids were begging to stay. Caden even suggested we send Dad home so he could go to work and then the rest of us could stay and play.

We spent the first few days chillin' at Nana's house. On Tues of the trip we went down to Meri & Jake's place. We played in the backyard for a little while and then headed over to the river to swim. It was a blast we would walk out to the current, let it pull us down stream for a ways and then swim back in to shore. Wish I had some pics from that day :(

Wed. was the official beginning of the Ward Family Reunion. We headed over to the coast and set up camp and then finally hit the beach.

That's our group under the bridge. So beautiful.

Can you tell how happy these kids are?? I think the beach has to be the best place on the planet (even cold ones).

Lana did not stop running for a couple of hours. It was hilarious.

We spent a lot of time on the beach the next day too. I put Lana in her swim suit this day so she was too cold to really get down and play at all.

Here's my little sis, Meribeth, me and Lana, and Nana. My older sis Julie was in the shot but jumped out at the last second.

My freezin Lana. Aunt Meri sacrificed her hoody to wrap Lana up.

This was at breakfast. Brecken isn't a big fan of food so Branson was "helping" him eat. Mostly he just had fun painting a ketchup goatie on his face.

We went over to a fun little aquarium in Newport.

Lana really loved the Octopus.

My insane husband and niece Jessi spent a few hours boogie boarding in the icy water.

The kids were a little smarter and had a good time playing in the sand.

Nana was ready for a blizzard.

Meri and I turned Lana into a mermaid.

Brecken wanted to be buried too so we made him our sea turtle.

And then a merman complete with trident.

I was amazed how into the castle building Brecken got.

The studly boogie boarder Branson.

And his partner in crime Jessica.

Caden's castle he built all by himself. I thought he looked so studly with no shirt under his jacket.

This giant tree was right by our campsite.
The kids spent a lot of time playing on and under it.

The last night there we went over to the lighthouse and the tide pools.
We had such an amazing trip, can't wait to do it again next year!
