Can it really be? Caden turned 8!

It was so fun having Nana, Grandpa Steve, and Aunt Meribeth here during Caden's birthday and baptism.  We started out with the traditional breakfast in bed of pancakes with ice cream.

Caden got a special present this year.  His own scriptures with his name engraved on the front.  Brecken keeps telling us he can't wait til he turns 8 so he can get his own scriptures too.

Dad showing him how to use the tabs.

Here we are spectating.  Aunt Meri gave him not one but three candy bars and a journal.

Look at these squishy morning faces.

Reading the card from Nana and Grandpa.

He got lazer tag guns from me and the daddy.  Brecken was excited for that one.

After school the boys ran around playing lazer tag.  Then we went to a High Priest Chili dinner and finally back home for some cheesecake.  Caden's a great sport and had a good day.

Lovin' the cheesecake!  We are lucky it didn't slide out onto the floor.

Caden is such an awesome 8 year old!  He is responsible and so good at helping out.  He loves his brothers and sisters and takes good care of them.  He is an amazing speller and got bumped up to list E, the highest list that only about three kids in his class are on.  Math has clicked this year and he is doing great at that too. We love our adventure lovin', BMX bike trickin' boy.
