Caden becomes the newest member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (IE: he was baptized!)

Such an amazing, incredible day!  Caden decided to get baptized.
Here he is with Dad (Branson K. West) just before the baptism.

Here is the invitation, photos by Olya- Endless Memories Photography.
He was baptized the day after his birthday.

Our sweet little family right after the baptism.

We had an all-star line up for the baptism program.  We were so glad that everything could be done by family members.

I was so lucky to get to do the spotlight.  I talked about Caden's DETERMINATION.  Once he decides to do something he never gives up to matter how hard it is or how many times he falls.  When we went to the Oregon coast the summer before we spent one day at the beach.  Caden had decided he wanted to learn to skim board.  He would throw down the board across the shallow wake and jump on and fall over and over again.  He spent nearly three hours skim boarding and didn't stop to build sand castles or anything else.  By the time we were getting ready to leave he had the hang of it and was doing a great job.

Caden is also very CARING and a great BROTHER.  I remember when I was pregnant with Torv and having a hard day.  I felt sick to my stomach and tired and overwhelmed.  My sweet Caden came into the room and brought me some water and crackers and made my heart melt.

Caden is SMART!  There are four different levels of spelling lists in the 2nd grade and Caden is on the highest one- only three other kids in the class are on that list with him.  He is also an amazing reader and has really caught onto math this year.

Caden has a great LOVE for the SCRIPTURES.  Caden knows a lot of the scripture stories and is able to tell them to us during Family Home Evening.  He loves the example of Ammon the might missionary and even had a giant mural of him on his bedroom wall that Grandma Karie painted for the boys.  He is great at reminding us to always have FHE and family scritpures.

Here is Caden with Grandpa Steve, Nana (Lorraine), and his Aunt Meribeth Gabell who all flew in from Oregon.

The amazing cake that Grandma made for Caden's baptism.  Not only was it beautiful but sooo delicious.  We all gorged ourselves on her scrumptious homemade carrot cake.

The party back at home after the baptism.  It was so great to have so much family there!

Caden showing everyone the blanket Grandma got for him.

It was such a beautiful and spiritual day.  We are so proud of Caden and his righteous choices.
