Jan. 2014 Fun

New Year's was a pretty low key affair.  We had all been up at Grandma & Grandpa's and had gotten very sick so we went home.  Poor Torvy had it the worst on New Year's Eve.

When we were finally feeling better Brans and I went on a date to do baptisms at the temple and then dinner at the pizza factory.  It was a great night and just what we needed.  Poor Brans had an ear infection though and his ear drum burst the next night.

Enjoying a nutella sandwich.

Such a good Daddy, reading to his boy.

 Brecken lost a tooth.

Rock star Dad.  Aaaaahhhhhh.

I got sick but was lucky enough to have a really good book an a piggy bank full of chocolate.

We had really wanted to go see the movie Frozen over Christmas break but didn't get to because of all the sickness.  So, we took the kids to see it one day after school in Jan.  Then we went to dinner at IHOP.  It was a great night.

Brecken's teacher Mrs. Koch was about to have her first baby.  They had a baby shower for her in Brecken's class at school.  I made her this little cake and cupcakes for all the students.

We had some beautiful winter days with gorgeous hoar frost.

A huge accomplishment for our family was to finish reading the entire Book of Mormon together.  To celebrate we got a hotel room in Lehi for a night and went out to dinner.  It was seriously so fun.  We enjoyed swimming in the pool and making a vending machine run in our pj's and bare feet.

 At wingers:

Torv loved playing in the play pen until it was actually bed time.

Cuddling in a hotel bed.

And watching TV in the room.

We even squeezed in a ski trip.
Lana borrowed Brecken's skis for her first try going down the mountain.   She was pretty much terrified.  We'll try again next year.

Brecken and Caden however, were Pros.  They remembered how to ski and did fantastic.

Snuggle buddies at the Dr's office.

And I bashed poor Torv's head in carrying a crate at the school.  Luckily, I butterfly bandaged it and he was ok without stitches.
