We finally got our Christmas tree last Thursday evening. I've always been staunch about having a real tree. I love the smell, the way it looks, hunting for just the right tree. It might be time for me to rethink that though. I still love the smell and the way it looks. Real trees are a tad on the expensive side and by the time we go out and get a tree and then bring it back we don't have much time left for the decorating.
We also had and exceptionally cold week. It had been getting down into the negative teens each night. When we went to get our tree it was zero degrees here in Eagle Mtn but in Lehi where we bought it, it was 10 degrees. Ten is still cold, it sounds warm compared to zero but it's not. After about two minutes of looking around I took Brecken and Lana back to the car to warm up. Caden was sooo adorable. He wanted to be a big boy and stay with Dad.
Regardless of the cold, and a grouchy mommy, I think the kids had a great time choosing the tree and decorating it! I was feeding Lana so Caden helped Dad put the lights up.
The boys just couldn't wait to get the ornaments out.
This is how Lana helped. She rolled around and chewed on
anything her hands could get a hold of.
I was really impressed at how good Brecken was at hanging the ornaments. He really got into it and enjoyed himself. I thought I would have to rearrange ornaments after they went to bed but they did a really good job.
It's officially Christmas time at our house now, we have our tree up!

Hooray for getting your tree up. It looks great!!!
I love real trees too. I love the smell and natural look. We usually like to go out as a family and cut one down, but this year things are just too crazy. So fake it is for this year.
