Valemtimes

Valentine's Day was kind of layed back and low key for us this year. The Saturday night before we were doing a pizza and movie night. We all went up and got a Caesar's $5 pizza and ate it in the car. Then I dropped all the boys off at the video store and Lana and I went to the grocery store to pick up some rootbeer and ice cream.

As we were walking through the store I noticed it was extra busy. I realized it was a Saturday night and those are always busy here in Utah. People buying their food for Sunday. But this was even more busy than a normal Sat. night, hmm it was like there was a holiday coming up or something. Then I noticed there were an awful lot of men walking around the store carrying flowers. Oh, duh, it was Valentine's the next day. I don't know why I wasn't all prepped up for the day, silly me.

Sunday morning I found this little surprise in the living room for me. Brans wrote me a little love note and made a heart from notes of little memories of us. So sweet.

I made bright red heart shaped waffles for breakfast and gave all the boys little red goody bags with candy hearts and a candy bar. Brecken enjoyed his spoils.

This is what remained of Caden's candy when he was all done.

Branson got a card from me with tickets to a jazz concert for the next weekend. We enjoyed a homemade Steak and Potatoes dinner and called it a nice Valentine's Day.
