I had such a fantastic birthday! I totally felt the love. Thanks to everyone who called, facebooked, and came to play!
The birthday celebrations actually started the Friday before. My sweet hubby took me out to my most favorite restaurant ever PF Changs. Oh so yummy, I'm drooling just remembering. It's a really fancy chinese restaurant with divine lettuce wrap appetizers. Then we saw the new Shrek movie, which I loved since it made me feel all validated as a parent. Thanks to Aunt Dawna and Uncle Brandon for babysitting. The kids had a blast hanging out at their newbie wedded apartment.

My actual birthday started with breakfast in bed and presents. Tanks hubby. Then he was off to work and the rest of the day started to feel like an ordinary day, except my friends were ignoring me and not answering my phone calls. I was starting to feel a little depressed around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. There weren't even any new blogs to go read. So, I decided to paint my toe nails which I had been wanting to do for a while. The boys were watching cartoons downstairs so I went up and started.
They joined me shortly and begged to have their toes done too. Caden is 5 years old and this is the first time he's ever asked. So we did it. I told Caden that daddy might think it is silly. He responded, "That's ok, he'll just have to get used to it." I love that kid.
Here are all our toes. Caden picked orange, Brecken black, and I chose my new pink I had just bought.
Then the boys wanted me to take pictures of them being silly.
I was pretty cheered up by now. I mean look at those faces, how could I not be?
We had dinner around 6:30, I was feeling lazy and so I just did leftovers. Brans got home about 7 and just then the doorbell rang. It was Olya and Audra with a bunch of balloons hanging out the moon roof of the car. They kidnapped me and took me to the mall where Mindy was waiting with a prepaid Am Ex card so I could go shopping.
Ahhh, what good friends. Just what a girl needs. After a few shops we decided we aren't quite mall rats and headed over to Old Navy and Target where we all found something to love.

Next up... ice cream! We were being totally annoying and loud and staying after they closed, oops. But the people there were nice to us anyway and even took some pictures for us.

Thanks again to everyone who made my day special. I feel oh-so-loved!
