Our Lana Lou had her birthday in April and is now 3!!!
We celebrated her birthday a little early (she didn't know though) because Brans and I were going to be gone to NC on her real birthday. We celebrated on a Tuesday during spring break.
We had to wake the birthday girl up before Daddy left for work. She wasn't too happy about it until she realized it was her birthday and the boys gave her the cards they had made for her.
Birthday snuggles with Dad.
Then into the kitchen for breakfast and presents. She opted for presents first.
The boys were very interested in checking out all of her presents.
A happy girl ready to eat her pancakes with ice cream.
Her first doll house.
Licking the cake beater.
She spent most of the day playing with her new toys and having friends over. I was a little overly ambitious with the cake. I had grand plans of using fondant for the first time and some other new techniques I haven't tried out before. It was a dismal failure. I spent about two hours on the cake before giving up. I ended up printing out a picture of Ariel and putting that on the cake instead. I didn't even take a picture of the pathetic excuse for a cake. Luckily, Lana thought it was just perfect!
We packed up the hideous cake, stopped and got some Little Caesar's pizza and met up with our friends the Bolinders over at a park in Lehi. They gave her this beautiful tutu that she immediately put on. Then we all went over to Trafalga to play.
Lana really loves the horsies on the carousel.
Riding on the airplanes with Brooke. She just had to have the gun.
I think we wore her out because she fell asleep in the car on the way home. We put her in bed but she woke up. When we went into check on her about 11pm before we went to sleep, this is how we found her! She was enjoying her new toys.

Oh Leah, she's so cute! She and Tori would have so much fun together. I think the best is the picture of her asleep with her toys, in her tutu! What cutie and what a cute familY!
