Girl's Night Out

Friday was th Father-sons campout. So that left me and Lana to our girly selves. We started the night out right by going shopping. Since thrift store shopping is all I can really afford, we headed over to the local DI. Lana is not a shopper yet, she screamed the whole time so we left without making any purchases.

Next we headed to the city park to see some of my friends' little girls perform dance. They were so cute! I got a little tear in my eye (I guess I'm excited for my own little girl to go to dance some day). Then Lana and I wandered through the booths with my friend Heather and her three little girls.

At about 8:30 I tried to call my boys but there was no cell service. At 9pm we headed over to Heather's place to watch "Bride Wars". It was so fun getting to watch a chick flick without any sarcastic boys!

When I got home there was a voicemail. It was my hubby. The boys wanted to say goodnight. He said they had to hike around to find a spot with cell service. Then my little guys said good night. It totally made me boohoo- I missed the phone call :(

I put Lana to bed and out of habit peeked in the boys room only to see empty beds. Then I crawled into my own very big and empty bed. It was cold sleeping without my warm hubby.

So, I had a great time bonding with my baby girl but one night away from my boys made me appreciate them a little more. I was so glad to see them the next morning.
