At the end of July Hubby Bubby Branson went on a trip to Washington DC. He went to attend a conference for NFL agent applicants. At the end of the conference he took a test. We got the call today. Branson will be an official NFL Sports Agent as soon as he pays his dues.
Brans was gone from a Wed afternoon til about midnight Sat. night. In order to keep ourselves distracted from missing daddy we thought we'd take advantage of having a car and play, play, play.
Our first adventure was Thursday morning. We wanted to go play at a beach so we packed up and headed to Daybreak UT. That is the little housing developement where the Oquirrh Mountain Temple is. The beach is a fun little man made lake for the housing developement. We love playing in the water soo much. It was a great day and we were so glad our friends Olya, Tasia, and AJ could come with us.
I felt like we were finally getting some wet summer fun in. Lana was a great sport and didn't complain at all. She spent some time in the shade in her carseat but some time in the water too. She like standing with her toes in the water.
Caden was so excited to munch down on this giant hunk of watermelon. He immediately tripped and got a sand coated hunk of watermelon. Oopsies.
Caden, Tasia, and Olya had a community effort going with their castle.
We had such a fun and carefree day. I love going fun places with my kids because we just play together and I don't have to get after them.
The next day we met up with Grandma, Aunt Britty, Dillon, Dawna, and Tay at the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum in SLC. It was such a blast. I love getting to hang out with them and they are so nice to help me keep all my kiddos rounded up (especially while I'm feeding Lana). Caden's favorite by far and beyond was the helicopter. They have a real helicopter (though out of commission) on the roof that the kids can get in and pretend to fly. Caden could have stayed there all day. The day wound up with a fun running through the fountains. I wish we could do it more often. Someday I will have a car, or minivan, or SUV of my very own...
So, we missed our Daddy and were SOOO glad when he got home but were able to have some fun while he was gone. I'll have Branson post about his trip to DC and all the cool sites he was able to visit.

the beach in daybreak is a great idea!! we'll have to check that out next summer...maybe even this summer. and congrats to branson. that is really, really great. he will be awesome at it. what is the next step from here?
That was a really fun day! I can't wait until we both have cars of our own so we can do that more often! Dilly asks for your boys constantly!
That looks like a lot of fun! I think I will be afraid to go anywhere with three kids and no hubby to help me out. You are so brave. Daybreak has so much to offer. Trent and I almost built a house there, but I don't like the homeowners association part of it and the fact that the yards are so tiny.
We love going to the beach. I have a bunch of water babies;). Congrats on Branson's new title. Sounds exciting!
