Visiting OZ in Oregon

This is another flashback to our vacation to Oregon we took in August. One day we all loaded up and headed to the Oregon Zoo (OZ) in Portland. The zoo looks like you are going for a hike in the woods but with animals everywhere.

Our first stop: restrooms and a sit in the animal chairs, I don't think they really needed a sole saving massage since we had just barely got there.

There was a section in the zoo that was farm themed, complete with tractor, a barn full of animals, and these nice wooden horses. The boys loved having their cousin Makyra there to play and explore with.

Here is the whole gang (minus the babies in their stroller). Dan, Tiffany, Amanda, Meribeth and Makyra, Nana, Grandpa and Caden, Leah and Brecken, and Branson.

The kids thought they would try to ride the elephant tricycle. They couldn't even move the pedal. I guess this bike was from a circus where an elephant really did ride it around.

Caden really loved riding the real elephant (good job using your graphic art skills Meri).

Me and the Lana at lunch.

As Grandpa said this exhibit is the "Great Apes".

The boys practicing being eagles.

We loved watching the baby elephant. It was so playful swimming around and climbing on the big elephants.

We had fun letting these two cousins share a stroller. People kept asking us if they were twins.

Crazy Amanda and Meribeth climbed into this log together to pose.

Abigail, Lana, and Marli. All three cousins were born within three months. It was a good year for baby girls.
