Caden Lost Something

His First Tooth!

We were sitting at dinner tonight and Caden asked me when I thought he would get a loose tooth. I told him I didn't know but probably some time soon. Then he showed us a bloody tooth in his mouth. At first I thought he just shook a totally intact tooth and made it bleed. Then we noticed blood on his corn on the cob. He really had a loose tooth.

He kept wiggling it all through dinner and while he did his homework. He asked if he could stay up all night because he was worried it might fall out while he was sleeping. I assured him it wouldn't fall out while he slept. He wanted Brans to yank it out even after I told him it might hurt a little. But Brans didn't think it was loose enough to yank out yet. Then when the boys were getting pajamas on he came out holding a bloody little tooth in his hand. He was sure bound and determined to get that thing out.

The tooth is now safe and snug in a little red velvet bag under his pillow waiting for the tooth fairy to come and exchange it for some cold hard cash!
