Branson and I did the Wasatch Wellness Run 5K race on Aug 21 up in Provo Canyon with his sister Dawna and her hubs Brandon.

And we're off! You can see Branson in the middle. Brans and I stayed together the whole race. It was very pretty in the canyon on the trail next to the river. We sprinted at the end and both got our own personal bests for a 5K. I came in at 30:18 with Branson on my tail at 30:27.
Here's the whole group (minus Grandma- she was taking the picture). Thanks so much to Karie for coming all the way down and watching the kids while we ran!
We decided to stick around for the award ceremony just in case we happened to place. Turns out we both got 3rd place for our gender and weight divisions! What a boost to our running self esteems, we will definitely keep doing it.
