The boys woke up bright and early on Brecken's Birthday (6:30), so no breakfast in bed. Then Brecken informed us that he didn't want ice cream on his pancakes because it gives him a headache. So, he choked down his ice cream-less pancakes (he is our non-eater) so he could open presents!
Brecken is such a good little guy. He doesn't really want things too much. I'd let him wander through the toy section at Wal-mart a few times before his birthday but there was never anything he wanted overly much. We just had to guess, and he seemed to be pretty happy with everything he got.
After presents the boys went to a primary program practice and I went to meet with a Bishopric member about a new calling. I am now in the YW's and loving it! The afternoon we just hung out and had some naps (Dad was in Provo at the BYU game).
Then it was time for the big surprise. We loaded the kids in the car and headed out without telling them where we were going to. They were pretty happy when they found out it was Chuck-E-Cheese. Grandma, Grandpa, and Taylor met us there. I never thought I would take my family there because it's expensive but I found a super killer deal where we got the pizza and a bazillion (that really is a number) tokens for only $20. Yay.
The kids loved all of it and were pretty entranced watching the puppets sing while we ate our pizza. Then they used their tokens to play games for a couple of hours.
Lana is a little obsessed with horses right now. If you ask her there are a whole lot of animals that say Neigh. She went on this little carousel several times.
One of the games you put in a token and it would draw a portrait. Caden was a little too busy playing other games to stop for this one.
Me and the birthday boy.
After that Grandpa, Grandma, and Taylor came to spend the night at our house so they could watch the primary program the next day. Sunday afternoon the Aunts and Uncles came for a little party. It was sure a great Birthday weekend.
