The Great Garbage Truck Chase

At about 6:45 this morning Brecken announced he had to go to the bathroom. So, I told him to go. He did and brought his pants in to me, still in bed, to put on him. Then I went and tucked him back in bed and slid in to my nice warm cozy bed next to my nice warm cozy husband.
Just as I got all snuggled in I heard a loud noise, creaking and squeeking and metal banging. Oh crap, I shot up and out of bed like a bolt of lightning. Very impressive for me considering it usually takes me five minutes to slowly crawl out of bed. I dashed out to the living room and peaked out the window. The garbage truck was at our next door neighbors.
In a flash I debated whether or not it was too late and decided to go for it. I slipped on my shoes and opened the garage. After rushing outside I waved down the garbage truck, luckily he stopped for me, and literally ran down the driveway and out into the street pushing our can. I watched it get picked up, dumped, and set back down then gave a friendly wave to the driver. It was about then that I noticed a large group of High School kids across the street waiting for their bus and several cars waiting for the garbage truck to move. Great, of course I was in my t-shirt and jammy pants with no bra.
Why all the commotion? We forgot to get the can out last week and it was full to overflowing. So, if you saw your crazy neighbor Leah running around the neighborhood in the freezing cold in her pajamas, don't worry about it. Just a typical moment from an ordinary day in the life of Leah.

That sounds familiar. I have also found myself darting out the front door to get the garbage to the curb! I am glad you made it in time!
