'Da Man

A couple of weekends ago we were driving up to Grandma & pa's up in K-town. We were going on a Thurs. night and staying the weekend so the hubby could hurry up and take me to Lagoon Friday evening. While driving up Caden asked, "Hey, do you guys want to go on a date tonight?" (He was trying to get rid of us so he could be spoiled rotten without us interfering by the grandparents). We told him we were going on a date the next night. Caden responded, "Dad, you're 'da man!". Where does he get this stuff?

We did have a blast at Lagoon by the way. Just me and the hubs. We got free tickets from his work. So, we were afraid going from 5-10pm we wouldn't have enough time to do everything. We were so wrong. There were no lines anywhere. We rode practically every ride in the park in the first 1 1/2 hours. We hit up a show and then on to some Frightmares. I wish we had pics but we were afraid of losing the camera or phone on the rides. They were such fun haunted houses. Scary enough, without being too scary. I know, I'm kind of a wimp. We decided from now on we won't go to Lagoon in the summer. If we go in the fall it's so much more fun. And next year we are so bringing the boys. We kept looking at rides and saying, "Caden would LOVE that one."
